Hey guys today I’m going to give you a brief explanation about “MAKEUP REMOVERS” and why it’s essential. Usually people have the tendency to complain about a breakout makeup caused, but they don’t understand that it is not only about applying makeup, but also removing it. I personally love makeup my skin hasn’t drastically changed since I’ve started applying it. That is because I follow a very strict skin care regime especially when I apply makeup. I always make it a point to remove my makeup even though I might be really tired.
What is a makeup remover?
A makeup remover is something which we use to remove our makeup. We get eye makeup removers, especially for eyes, lip makeup removers for lips and overall makeup removers for the entire face.
What is the need to use a makeup remover or why should we use it?
It is essential to use a makeup remover before cleansing to avoid clogged pores, breakout, pimples and to ensure that our skin is clear and free from all the makeup gunk.
What are the types of makeup removers?
Makeup removers are found in various varieties such as wipes, lotions, cleansing milk, oil based makeup removers and even water based removers. Well if you don’t want to spend money on these chemical based removers, you can also opt for natural oils such as coconut oil [my personal favourite] olive oil etc.
Natural VS Artificial or chemical based makeup removers which one to opt?
Now how to decide which remover is the best, the chemical one or the natural one? If you are a person who usually doesn’t wear lots of eye makeup and just sticks to the non waterproof makeup then oils are good enough for you but, if you are a person who wears a lot of eye makeup, and especially waterproof makeup you need the chemical makeup removers to break down your makeup, natural oils won’t do the trick for you.
What is the main component of makeup removers?
Glycerine, sodium lauryl sulphate, mineral oil, fragrance, propylene glycol are some of the main components used in most of the makeup removers.
NOTE: Do not forget to properly cleanse your face after using makeup removers, it is not advisable to allow makeup remover residue on your face, especially eyes.
